Opinion It deleted all the music off my computer, since I had jsut recently doubled copied all of it to the new computer. now its gone and I blame THIS program

Not user friendly For an administrator of many computers, with a high level of computer language expertise, this program looks as though it would be useful. For my purposes, as an individual attempting to "clean house", particularly with my many text files, I have discovered that Mac OSX, with its smart folders in spotlight, may be much faster than using your program.I note that you do not use English well, and this may be a problem, if your are directly translating what is called "geek" talk into colloquial English. i am disgusted with this product, i paid for this a day ago from now and i still have not got any emails of the sort with the download link, so i asked for a refund, and yet again no reply, personally i think the website is very poorly run and the service is a load of crap! i will be taking this futher if i never get a reply because it was alot of money for me a student to pay for something i have not even got yet.

Copying file with TeraCopy is really fast and reliable. I have tried to copy 17GB of files with many subfolders from my labptop hard drive to external hard drive, which was a problematic task, however, not with TeraCopy. You may want to get updated free version (I am using ver 2.12 now).

A time-saving necessity... TeraCopy is one of those simple utilities that no toolbox should be without: I had a failing hard drive filled with thousands of critical media files that I needed to copy over to a fresh drive. Windows' file copy/move functions fail on each and any error--whether damaged sector, lost cluster, or whim. The same with most ghost apps (including Acronis Image...I tried). TeraCopy, however, chugged through the failing drive, ignored the errors, and pulled off the bulk of some 80,000 files without a hitch or hiccup. Amazing.

General Comments Very useful tool, needs better interface, and he names of the files not copied not the location of the files, and the ability to print the results, these may be available in the pro version I will follow up and find out.

I'm asking me, if there is not a possibility to rename files with such a tool. That should be very simple.From first file take the extension and replace it with Prefix .AND. Great, but... I wanted to use this to organize pictures. I have various exact copies with different file names, and wanted to keep just one copy of each. The files total about 330,000 all together. I was excited about Duplicate Files Searcher because it said it would do exactly what I wanted: Do a byte-for-byte comparison with an unlimited number of files, regardless of file name, and move all but one copy of each file to a different folder. FileSplitter - simple to use Used FileSplitter to remove sections of unwanted MPEG2 video, (i.e. I made the orig movie into small chunks, with the ides of removing unwanted sections)I liked the fact that the split video sections could be played normally - something that the new version didn't do.After rejoined the movie, it ran without glitch.A good application, which run quickly.

Very compact, but I needed more power. A 4.5 GByte image was created as two FAT32 Files, 3.99 GB + 0.5 GB.The image application made a mistake, and they got zapped.An Undelete application found them and restored to different partitions.FAT32 threw a wobbly when it got to 3.98 GB.An NTFS partition accepted what Undelete gave it, which was 5 GB, including a 0.5 GB tail-end I did not want.FileSplitter was unable to split this 5 GB into the original two files plus a third residual junk file.Both FFSJ.exe and TheFilesplitter131 solved my problem, but so they should with 20 to 40 times as much code.Alan.
